Israel has breached the Gaza ceasefire with Hamas, killing dozens of Palestinians.

Israel says it’s returned to the Gaza ceasefire – after launching a wave of air strikes on Sunday, killing greater than 40 Palestinians.

It blamed Hamas for the breach, saying its fighters have been liable for an assault that killed two Israeli troopers.

    Hamas denies breaking the ceasefire.

The violence was a reminder for Palestinians that Israel is prepared to droop peace, and unleash its firepower, at any time when it sees match.

America insists the truce will maintain – and has despatched Particular Envoy Steve Witkoff and Presidential Advisor Jared Kushner to Israel.

However the renewed assault has forged doubt on whether or not the ceasefire will advance to the second section – which is supposed to see Hamas disarm and Israel withdraw from Gaza.
