Far-right British political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos was deported to the UK after being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Division of Homeland Safety stated Saturday.
Yiannopoulos was arrested at New Orleans Worldwide Airport on Thursday, in line with a DHS spokesperson.

The spokesperson stated in a press release that Yiannopoulos legally entered the nation in 2019 and allegedly “selected to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s legal guidelines.”
“Yiannopoulos was issued a last order of removing by an Immigration Choose on July 22, after failing to indicate up for his immigration listening to,” the spokesperson stated.
DHS confirmed it deported Yiannopoulos on Friday.
“This administration is working diligently to make sure that aliens in our nation illegally can now not fly until it’s out of our nation to self-deport,” the DHS spokesperson stated.
