    LaLiga President accuses Infantino of ‘destroying’ football

    LaLiga president Javier Tebas has declared Gianni Infantino’s “time has lengthy since handed”, accusing the FIFA chief of “destroying the very essence” of soccer as stress continues to mount over his failed personal funding proposal.

    Infantino has come underneath rising scrutiny after abandoning plans to create a business subsidiary that will have allowed personal traders to purchase stakes in FIFA competitions, together with the World Cup.

    The FIFA president apologised to member associations this week over how the proposal was dealt with, however the backlash has intensified, with UEFA, the Soccer Affiliation and a number of other different governing our bodies calling for his resignation.

    Talking to French newspaper Le Monde, Tebas stated he believes Infantino’s management has run its course.

    “For me, Gianni Infantino’s time has lengthy since handed,” he stated.

    Tebas additionally argued that changing Infantino alone wouldn’t be sufficient, insisting FIFA requires wholesale reform.

    Turbulent week continues for Infantino
