The chair of the BBC board, Samir Shah, apologized on Monday after two prime executives resigned over claims of deceptive enhancing of a speech by President Trump.

“The apologizing is for the way in which the staff edited President Trump’s speech to his supporters on Jan. 6. In hindsight, we may have, we should always have acted earlier and brought a extra formal place on it, which we’ve achieved extra not too long ago.” “Is there institutional bias on the BBC?” “There is no such thing as a institutional bias. Errors are made, however there’s no institutional bias.” “However why weren’t the errors handled on Trump, on antisemitism, on girls’s rights?” “I’m certain that story will emerge. However for now, I’m going to go —” “Do you assume the board acted in opposition to you?”
