Barney Frank, the outspoken former Massachusetts congressman who championed Wall Road reform and served as one of many first brazenly homosexual members of Congress, has died at 86, sources advised ABC Information.
Frank’s sister, Doris Breay, advised ABC affiliate WCVB in Boston that Frank died Tuesday night time.
“He was an exquisite brother, and I used to be fortunate to be his sister,” she stated.
The Democratic lawmaker represented Massachusetts for over 30 years and served as chairman of the highly effective Home Monetary Companies Committee from 2007 to 2011. He was a number one co-sponsor of the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act, which was enacted in response to the 2008 monetary disaster.
Frank retired from workplace in 2013.
