    DC leaders push back against Trump’s ‘public safety emergency’ before Oversight Committee

    Washington, D.C.’s prime elected leaders on Wednesday warned that President Donald Trump’s federal legislation enforcement surge has undermined public belief and threatened the town’s autonomy, whilst they pressed Congress to assist the District rebuild its police pressure and fill crucial judicial vacancies.
