A giant-name coach secured his future with a Massive 12 soccer program by making an unselfish act.
Per Max Olson of ESPN, Matt Campbell agreed to a contract extension with Iowa State that may hold him in Ames via 2032. He took a program-friendly low cost to maintain a prime workers and allocate $1 million in rev-share funds.
“Iowa State and coach Matt Campbell have finalized his extension via 2032,” Olson posted on X. “He’ll earn $5 million per 12 months in complete compensation.
“The 3x Massive 12 Coach of the 12 months took a reduction on the deal to make sure his workers pool elevated and allowed ISU to allocate a further $1 million in rev-share funds for soccer, sources informed ESPN.”
