Patrick Stewart, the legendary actor recognized for his roles in “Star Trek: The Subsequent Era” and the “X-Males” movie franchise, has died on the age of 86, his consultant introduced Thursday.
Stewart died “within the loving care of his beloved spouse Sunny” after a “temporary and poignant journey” with Alzheimer’s illness and Lewy physique dementia, in response to an announcement shared on his social media by his longtime spokesperson, Kelly Bush Novak.

“He has been held within the heat embrace of household and associates, surrounded by dwell music, prayer, tears, laughter, and the sort of profound emotion that solely he may encourage after a lifetime of devotion to us all,” the assertion continued. “We’ll perpetually cherish the peaceable ease and reflection on his face, an everlasting reminder of his invincible grace.”
Alzheimer’s illness is the commonest type of dementia, the lack of reminiscence, problem-solving and pondering talents. It’s a progressive illness that begins with gentle reminiscence loss and finally has no treatment, according to the U.S. Facilities for Illness Management and Prevention.
Lewy physique dementia is a sort of dementia that may trigger issues with motion, habits, pondering and temper, according to the CDC.
