Home Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan issued a prison referral towards former Particular Counsel Jack Smith on Wednesday for allegedly making “willfully and deliberately false statements” when testifying before Congress last December.
“The Committee on the Judiciary writes to refer robust proof that seems to indicate Jack Smith, former Particular Counsel, knowingly made false statements throughout his December 17, 2025 deposition,” Jordan wrote in a letter despatched to Performing Legal professional Common Todd Blanche.

Legal professionals for Smith didn’t instantly reply for remark.
