    MIT researchers and beauty brand Amorepacific made a wearable patch that analyzes skin aging

    Researchers at MIT have been working with the South Korean magnificence firm Amorepacific for the previous few years to develop a wearable “digital pores and skin” platform that may present real-time insights about pores and skin getting older and make customized skincare suggestions, and it is as a result of debut at CES 2026 as “Skinsight.” Skinsight, which was introduced as one of many CES 2026 Innovation Award Honorees this week, is a Bluetooth-equipped sensor patch that sticks to the pores and skin and works with a cell app, monitoring pores and skin tightness, UV publicity, temperature and moisture.

    Based mostly on the readings, the AI-powered app will approximate how the various factors may contribute to or pace up pores and skin getting older, and counsel the merchandise greatest fitted to the job so the consumer can incorporate them into their skincare routine. The patch is designed to be breathable and stand up to sweat so it might probably keep on for lengthy durations of time. The workforce hasn’t but shared on Skinsight’s availability and price.
