French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu has stepped down simply weeks after taking office, additional deepening the nation’s political disaster.
The French presidency stated in an announcement on Monday that President Emmanuel Macron has accepted his shut ally’s resignation.
Almost a month after his appointment, Lecornu had named his ministers on Sunday night.
The cupboard had been set to carry its first assembly on Monday afternoon, however its lineup angered each opponents and allies alike.
Lecornu, a former defence minister, was Macron’s fifth prime minister in two years.
