Snap is imposing a brand new storage restrict on Snapchat‘s Recollections function, which has racked up spectacular numbers since its introduction in 2016. In response to Snap, customers have saved multiple trillion Recollections throughout its platform, and it is now introducing “Recollections Storage Plans” for customers who exceed 5GB of Recollections.

In a press release, Snap detailed that the introductory storage plan permits as much as 100GB of storage for Recollections for $1.99 a month. Snapchat+ subscribers, who pay $3.99 a month, will rise up to 250GB of storage, whereas Snapchat’s highest-tier Platinum subscribers will get 5TB included with their $15.99 month-to-month price.

Snap stated {that a} “overwhelming majority” of its Snapchat customers will not discover any adjustments since they’re removed from hitting the 5GB restrict. For customers who maintain onto hundreds of Snaps, the corporate is now rolling out these storage plans. To ease the transition from limitless storage to paid choices, Snap will give anybody exceeding 5GB of Recollections a 12 months of momentary storage. These new storage subscriptions comply with Snap’s newest paid choice for its Lens+ subscription, which prices $9 a month.
