A senior Division of Justice official met with longtime Jeffrey Epstein affiliate Ghislaine Maxwell for six hours on Thursday in Tallahassee, Florida.
The assembly between Deputy Lawyer Basic Todd Blanche and Maxwell occurred in downtown Tallahassee on the U.S. lawyer’s workplace, which is situated contained in the federal courthouse, sources conversant in the matter stated.
Maxwell was convicted of intercourse trafficking and different prices and sentenced to twenty years in jail in 2022. She is serving her sentence at a federal jail in Tallahassee.
Maxwell’s appellate lawyer, David O. Markus, stated after the assembly Maxwell “answered all of the questions and answered them truthfully.”
Markus stated there have been “a variety of questions and we went all day and he or she answered each considered one of them.” He declined to say whether or not there could be a follow-up assembly.
He additionally declined to explain the questions Blanche requested however stated he and Maxwell had been “grateful” for the assembly.
Blanche arrived on the federal courthouse round 9 a.m. ET. He shook his head and stated “no” when requested if he had something to say forward of his sit-down with Maxwell.

The Justice Division said earlier this week that the assembly between Blanche and Maxwell would happen “within the coming days.”
“President Trump has advised us to launch all credible proof. If Ghislaine Maxwell has details about anybody who has dedicated crimes in opposition to victims, the FBI and the DOJ will hear what she has to say,” Blanche stated within the statement posted by Lawyer Basic Pam Bondi on X earlier this week.
Maxwell’s lawyer confirmed earlier this week that they had been in discussions with the federal government concerning the go to, saying in a press release that “Ghislaine will all the time testify in truth.”

Individually, on Wednesday, Home Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer issued a subpoena for Maxwell for a deposition to happen on the jail on Aug. 11.
“The information and circumstances surrounding each your and Mr. Epstein’s instances have acquired immense public curiosity and scrutiny,” Comer wrote in a press release Wednesday.
